South Central Family Health Center (SCFHC), a non-profit community health clinic, providing medical, dental and behavioral health services, serving inter-city Los Angeles for over 35 years, seeks to hire a Managed Care Manager for its various programs.
FUNCTIONS: To support and provide an integrated infrastructure for all existing and future programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all Managed care activities, i.e. implementation and compliance of plan, retention of members and implementation of quality of care initiatives; Act as liaison between managed care organization (i.e. MSO and HCLA) and SCFHC. Create a health education department and strategic plan which supports and provides an integrated infrastructure for all existing and future programs and fosters a communicative and collaborative relationship between all clinic departments and especially with the Development Department.
In conjunction with the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Medical Officer, establish educational standards and protocols and develop uniform health education materials for use at clinic and by all health educators. Supervise multiple departments. Organize, develop and oversee training programs. Interface with community based, marketing and outreach.
QUALIFICATIONS: BA Degree in health education or related field required. MPH, MPA, RN, or other related field of study preferred. 1-2 experience working in a community clinics setting. 2-4 years supervisory experience. NextGen exp, a plus. Must have excellent phone, communication and customer service skills. Must be a team player.
