South Central Family Health Center (SCFHC), a non-profit community health clinic, providing medical, dental and behavioral health services, serving inter-city Los Angeles for over 35 years, seeks to hire an Executive Administrative Assistant/ Board Manager to provide administrative support to the CEO.
FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), provide high-level administrative support.
JOB SUMMARY: The Executive Administrative Assistant/ Board Manager is responsible for providing support and administrative assistance to the CEO; research, collect, compile and prepare policies, reports, agendas, meetings, review and analyze incoming documents to determine significance and appropriate distribution; maintain the CEO’s calendar; make travel arrangements; supervise administrative staff; manage administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the organization; maintain corporate documents files; assist with strategic planning & internal initiatives. As Board Manager, coordinate and attend monthly board meetings (held in the evenings) record minutes, recruit new members.
QUALIFICATIONS: BA degree in business or related field, required. MA degree preferred. Minimum 7 years of experience in nonprofit management, public administration or health health services, required. Minimum 7 years of successful experience working for a CEO, preferred. Minimum one year prior supervisory experience. Must have good written and oral communication and excellent phone and people skills. Must work well with constant interruptions. Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure. Must be highly organized and proficient in MS Office.
