Job Summary: (Complete summary upon request)
Develops trust and teamwork with staff and patients.
Assists in the Delegation of Services with Mid-Level Practitioners within the similar field of medical training in accordance with the guidelines of the individual agreements between Physician and Mid-Level Practitioner.
Provides wellness care for children and adults, including screening, immunizations and testing.
Teaches health promotion, wellness and disease prevention.
Diagnose and, in partnership with the patient, manage acute and chronic health conditions.
Orders, conducts and interprets diagnostic studies and laboratory tests.
Provide primary health care services to patients emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.
Participate in the development of the organizational plan for medical operation addressing efficient use of personnel, staffing patterns, and patient scheduling.
Participate in provider meetings.
Adhere to mandated State and Federal regulations as a FQHC provider and monitors that the department also complies.
Communicates openly and consistently with Supervisor(s) and all staff.

ALTURA has been providing medical, dental and behavioral health care to the community since 1995, in response to community concerns regarding the ...health and social needs of low income immigrant population. Altura is a 501 (C) 3 Non-profit Organization, governed by a committed Volunteer Community Board of Directors. The majority of the Board of Directors are patients of Altura. Hence, it is a clinic governed by its patients as well as community. Altura provides nutrition counseling, health education classes, and prevention programs to support community members in reaching their health goals. Altura serves nearly 27,309 patients annually.
