**CARE Carlton specializes in delivering gender-specific inpatient treatment to women with substance use disorders. Due to the needs of the people we serve, only FEMALE applicants will be considered**
This position delivers professional mental health services, including diagnostic assessment, staff and client education, group and individual therapy, and involvement in treatment planning. Primary duties include:
Providing mental health diagnostic assessments.
Providing clinical treatment services including Integrated Dual Disorders approaches through individual and group therapy, family therapy, support for mothers’ to be, post partum depression prevention and psychoeducation.
Acting as a consultant to the unit treatment team with responsibility for providing leadership in the mental health treatment process.
Providing expertise, training and ongoing support of staff in the engagement and treatment of individuals with chronic mental illness and dually diagnosed Mental Illness and Chemical Dependency using Evidenced Based Practice.
To qualify, you must have:
- a Master’s degree in Psychology or closely related field in an accredited program,
- MN licensure as a Licensed Psychologist (LP), with the Minnesota Board of Psychology, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
- a doctorate in Psychology or closely related field in an accredited program and licensed as a LP by the Minnesota Board of Psychology.
NOTE: License eligible psychologists may be hired as a Psychologist 2 on a provisional appointment.
And per MN Statutes, you must
- be at least 18 years old,
- be able to pass a criminal background check, and
- sign a statement attesting that you have been free of chemical use problems for at least two years immediately preceding hire.
Experience treating individuals with co-occurring disorders using integrated approaches, competency in the administration of mental health scales and assessments, and providing treatment in an interdisciplinary team model.
