Central Neighborhood Health Foundation (CNHF) is a full-service Medicare-certified healthcare provider serving Los Angeles, Riverside & San Bernardino counties. We are seeking an ambitious and innovative CEO to serve in a leadership role with our organization. The CEO will work collaboratively with the foundation’s Board, staff and community leaders and oversee a diverse set of programs including direct client services; primary care promotion; local, state, national and international public policy and advocacy; and treatment education. The CEO will set fundraising priorities, manage the organization and maintain Health Center leadership position in service delivery, fundraising and advocacy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Ensuring that the organization is fiscally and administratively sound and that its programs continue to be the highest quality and meet the changing needs of the community served.
Coordinating the development of the Organization’s Business Plan.
Participating with the CFO and the Board in the process of budget development and in financial management decisions as they affect clinical activities.
Regularly briefing the Board on the status of the organization’s performance toward the Board’s vision; follow the direction of the Board.
Working closely with the program and policy directors to strengthen programs, develop new programs and initiatives to address primary care for the underserved, and ensure that existing programs remain relevant to the mission of the Health Center and that they are well managed.
Developing the organization’s Business plan based on community health needs, epidemiology and health behavior of patient community.
Participating in the development of the Corporation’s financial plan (budget).
Overseeing the organization’s financial operations.
Hiring, supervising, motivating and evaluating senior-level staff.
Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or related field.
5-10 years demonstrated leadership in an advocacy, public health or public policy organization
3-5 years FQHC experience.
Proven senior-level business management, problem solving, fundraising and financial experience as an executive in the not-for-profit, public or private sectors with 100 plus employees.
Experience in governmental processes and public health policy at the local, state, and federal levels, with a deep appreciation for the community.
A demonstrated ability to work effectively with advocates from various communities, activists, policy makers, the media, health care providers, government representatives, politicians, researchers, clients, and volunteers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to effectively communicate ideas to stakeholders
Bilingual English /Spanish preferred but not required
