The Site Medical Director performs the general duties of a physician: assesses and evaluates the health care needs of patients; performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and institutes and manages care for patients. In addition, the Site Medical Director supervises other licensed staff and is responsible for maintaining the highest standard of care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administers and supervises the medical functions and staff of Health Center site.
Attends and participates in Quality Assurance activities. Makes recommendations to the Quality Assurance committee about necessary and appropriate Quality Assurance activities and in-service training.
Develops, reviews and approves medical protocols and procedures in consultation with medical staff, administration and the Quality Assurance committee.
Orients and extensively reviews new staff to assure competency. Participates in on-going evaluation and peer review. Reviews and signs charts of Advanced Practice Clinicians and allied health personnel on an on-going basis.
Supervises laboratory and pharmacy services at the Health Center site. Approves Clinic formulary and makes recommendations for inclusion of new drugs and devices as appropriate.
Serves as a member of the Site Leadership Team and make recommendations about general health center policies, identifies problems related to patient services and medical staff supervised, and makes recommendations for improvement.
In coordination with management, Corporate Medical Director, and Associate Corporate Medical Director, reviews resumes, participates in interviews and recommends for hire new medical providers to fill positions approved by administration.
Receives complaints about medical personnel and works to resolve problems in accordance with established clinic policies and procedures.
Adherence to ODCHC’s attendance policy.
Other duties and responsibilities as designated by supervisor.

Employer will assist with relocation costs.
Additional Salary Information: We are National Healthcare Service Corp. Loan Repayment Site with a HPSA Score of 17 for Medical, 19 for Behavioral Health, and 20 for Dental. Primary care medical, dental and mental/behavioral health clinicians can get up to $50,000 to repay their health profession student loans in exchange for a two-year commitment.
